ARGUMENT_FROM_BOREDOM

                                 November 5, 2007

About "the argument from boredom".

     This is perhaps one of
     the most insidious
     of the many and various
     ways that arguments get
     prematurely dismissed in
     the present-day world.

     "We've all heard
     *that* before."

     "Are you still going
      on about that?"

     "That's ancient history.
It's time to move on." Frequency of repetition
                                        can lead to "cliche"
All the bad guys status, or it can lead
need do is stall to "well-known truism"
  long enough, and status.
  "the controversy
dies down" What is it that decides
                                        which it is?
  Heels drag their heels
so time blows over the Maybe:
  wounds of fortune outraged...

     Or something. reputation
