Another entry in the genre of babbling on
camera about movies:

"Hollywood 'Ghost in the Shell'
Whitewashing, Scarlett Johansson Cast as
Japanese Anime Character"

They guys try really hard to justify their
outrage but it's really weak.  Okay, so
Motoko has an artificial body, but what about
Batou!  Uh... he also has an artificial body.

They complain about only "minor" characters
being cast as Japanese... and they list Aramaki.
The chief of section 9?  That's minor?

  And they don't mention Togusa at all,
  who strikes some people as a critical       I'm not sure I buy
  case, since he's a prominent member of      Togusa as a test case,
  Section 9 who has a naturally human         because of the general
  body.  He's played by Chin Han --           anime factor: he's
  but wait, isn't he ethnically Chinese?      got brown hair, and
  Doesn't Hollywood know the difference?      it's not at all in
  (Note: that's a joke.)                      keeping with his
                                              character to suppose
                                              he's dyed it.
