IMPULSE

Tom Nunn, one of the Bay Area's
   masters of improvised music, has
written a book on the subject:
   _The Wisdom of the Impulse_:

      "Ultimately, free improvisation can be
applied to any artistic medium if the
PROCESS is one of on-going association
      and self-realization of the artwork.
Real time need not be a factor, the
PROCESS is essentially the same -- to "By simply rearranging the

                                                   improvisation goes beyond

           Like many people interested in
           improvisation, lately I've
           been wondering things, like: "Wind:
                                                      Play on.
Is improvisation a goal, There is nor hope
or just a technique? nor mutiny
                                                      in you."
               If it's a technique,
then what's the goal? Alfred Kreymborg,
