INCOMPREHENSIBLE_DESIRE

Once upon a time there was
a DJ at KZSU (also a Program
Director, also a Jazz Director,
also one of the early members He was also half of the
of the Beanbenders crew)... infamous radio duo:
let's just call him by his "MC Escher and MC Squared".
airname: Klee.

He played a lot of odd
stuff, leaning heavily on IMP_PERVERSE
what you might call out-jazz.

Someone I know refused to Later: when visiting

that he was putting on airs of
superiority while listening to this
high-brow stuff.

To me, it was pretty
obvious she was wrong.

Maybe, just possibly, at some point in his
distant past, Klee might have been
aggressively pursuing weird music for the sake
of achieving some social image or status.

But even if so, I think she
underestimated the way an
appreciation for an artform
for it's own sake can become
internalized though long UNLIKELY_CONFESSION
exposure, whatever the
initial motivation.

She didn't believe it was possible
he could like the music that he
clearly does like.
