A book in kinokinya (named zero something or other?)
reminds me that it may all suddenly go sour:

It's got a kind of Heavy Metal/heavy metal look
to it, like an American comic with the original THE_NEW_KAWAII
gruesome splatter added back in--

I watched this happen with punk: that fresh raw,
noisy, high-energy sound co-opted by "speed metal",
degenerating into "hard core" and "grind core",
and losing all of the flare of the original--

           Many, many people are only
           barely capable of seeing what's
good, and weak self-parodies of I've been wondering again
the original may very well seem lately about the all
good enough to them. those eternally hollow,
                                                  weak and forgettable
                                                  "blockbuster" movies...
                                                  does anyone really like
                                                  them? The form seems to
                                                  continue out of sheer
                                                  inertia, people focus on
                                                  them because they don't
know what else to do with
                                                  themselves.
