  The "Mahou Shoujo" show (meaning,
  "magical girl", you know), has for
  *years* has been doing a superb job
  of covering Japanese pop music in
  all it's different aspects.

  She typically picks a theme in
  advance and then puts in a tremendous
  amount of work researching it and
  gathering a wide collection of music
  on the theme-- much of which will
  be nearly completely unlistenable.
  (A special on Japanese funk music
  from the 70s?  *Nooooo!!!!*).


       When I first began listening to the
       show I was convinced that she was
       a Japanese girl-- stray comments
       over the years have convinced me
       otherwise "Hey, I've been studying
       Japanese for over ten years--"
