KRISH

                                                    April 16, 2014
A minor observation
concerning "Krish 3", the
Bollywood superhero movie. Every now and then I need
                                               to talk about something
There's a scene where Krish besides japanese pop culture,
swoops in to help a little if only for appearences sake.
boy who's in danger of falling
    from some netting strung
    across a walkway.

    In the ensuing dialog afterwards,
it becomes clear that the kid got
    himself in trouble while rescuing
a cat that was stuck in this netting
(or at least, it was acting like it
was stuck-- really, you never know
    with cats).

The kid thanks Krish for his heroism,
    and Krish returns the favor--

There's this sense that the kid already
has the bug, he's already a hero. And the point that I think
                                                  is interesting: you couldn't
I think he also goes on to caution him do something like this in
that he needs to be careful, it's no help an American film-- they'd
if he gets himself killed, or something worry too much about
    like that... encouraging reckless behavior
                                                  in our increasingly fear-
(Actually, it's a little strange that driven, locked-down, control
I think I know what the dialog means freak culture.
here-- I'm pretty sure I've only seen
this in raw form without subtitles.)
