I used to live in a group house,
with five other people.

We had a "no TV in the living room"
rule while I lived there.

I had to argue for this strongly, but
it wouldn't have flown if other people
hadn't agreed.

Nevertheless, there was this widespread
impression that the anti-TV rule was
somehow inflicted by me on the household.         Oh, Joe is
                                                  *so* weird.
The moment I moved out, a television
appeared, dead center in the living
room, in the place of worship.
