                                          October 2, 2004

                                          I picked this up from
                                          someone on slashdot:
An existential objection to Emile van Bergen,
libertarian doctrine: it evbergen (31483)
restricts the way that you [ref]
are allowed to define
yourself, forces you to see
everything through a lens of
self-interest and denies any EXISTENTIAL
other approach to reality.

The way I tend to put it:

Freedom isn't just freedom to be selfish,
it has to include the freedom to be altruistic.
