PRACTICAL_IDEALS

      "Pragmatism" is sometimes a code word
      for "I have no values, morals or ethics".

      I just do "whatever works" and
      I don't worry about any kind of
      idealistic consistency.
      
      People like this do well in the short
      term, but really they're just blowing
      in the wind, and in the long run they
      don't matter much. 
                         
      They end up dancing to the strings of
      "impractical idealists" who refuse to
      compromise and because of that often
      end up shaping the world.
