Lynn Padilla, "It's the 90s, so I think I'll be Asian"
which talks about minimizing the model minority myth.

Minyu Pak, "I See Sangapul", which talks about how
some asian women such as her mother have their
eyelids "fixed" to make their eyes look larger.

Martin Wong, "Doug Moench and Paul Gulacy:
Masters of Kung Fu", a long write up of a
remarkable Marvel comic from the mid-70s. (A period when not too much
                                                   was happening, comics-wise).

  Most interesting to me was:
                                                            HETEROPHILIA
Daria Yudacufski, "Penis Envy", in which
a half-asian woman (she calls herself "hapa")
complains about men who complain about women This was a common topic
such as herself dating white guys... in the 90s-- asian guys
                                                      gnashing their teeth
This is a fascinating display of at white guy-asian girl
  counter-sterotype stereotyping: couples-- that seems
                                                      to have completely faded.
"These men generally believe that white
women won't date Asian men. The funny I have a theory that
thing is that most of these guys refuse now that Asian guys
to date white women anyway. What they have discovered milk
prefer for their own personal they're getting over
relationships are nice, traditional the old "small race"
Asian women who fall right into that inferiorty complex.
other lame sterotype the submissive and
  demure Oriental female."
