   Some exercises for after class:

    1. Could it be that this libertarian
       insistance that all human motivation can
       be encompassed as a form of profit motive        MADNESS
       is purely an article of faith?

    2. Can you imagine any hypothetical form of
       behavior for which it would not be
       possible to explain away as the result of
       "self-interest" in some contorted way?

    3. If there is no way to falsify the
       "rational actor", then is there any
       utility in the concept? Why is it useful
       to re-state motivations in a "selfish"
       form rather than an "altruistic" form?
