SECOND_MURDER

  Of all the many and various
  absurdities one might complain
  about in the mystery genre, the
  convention that bothers me the
  most is The Second Murder.

     In order for the Second Murder to even
     have a chance of happening, nearly
     everyone involved has to be in
     complete denial of what's going on.


         "La, la, la, here we are,
         a bunch of witnesses and
         murder suspects all locked
         up together.  What could
         *possibly* go wrong?"
