"Skylark" was originally published:
  Amazing Stories August-October 1928


That's around twenty years after "the Lost World".

   So that first planet they land on, where
   they encounter large dinosaur-like creatures,
   that seems a bit derivative.

   Oh: it's an intentional reference, isn't it?

   And "Osnome", the planet bathed in the light
   of a green sun is "Oz" (the Emerald City).




           "If you will take the lever
           awhile, Dick, Margaret and I
           will go downstairs and see if
           we can locate a planet."
