The writers have a problem: SEVEN_NOT_PLUS

It's all about Spirita. The
alien psychic vampires are
after it, and rather than shoot
missles, Basarra insists on Though at one point, there's a
*giving it to them*. And for suggestion that Mylene's
some reason, this causes them experiments with the new sound
to retreat... energy booster gadgetry is
                                        attracting the aliens: it causes

have the aliens babble
about "abnormal chord-c
spirita".
                                                         Attraction/
                                                         repulsion?
So the fix is that it's
all about spirita, but That works well
there's different *kinds* enough,
of it, and something thematically --
about Basarra's causes maybe it's the
problems for them. central issue
                                                         here, in this

better.

  One possibility: the "abnormal
  chord-c spirita" line, as well
  as the Macross line about
  "sound weapons" are both
  misconceptions on the part of
  the characters.

  Perhaps neither side quite
  understands (or is willing to
  admit?) what's going on. March 5, 2010

Bassara is a pacificst: (This is clearer, watching the series
he's literally reaching from the beginning. The only thing that
out to the enemy. confuses really is Basara's image: brash,
                                    overbearing, obnoxious-- he doesn't seem
"Listen to my song! like a peacenik.)
        Stop fighting, and
        listen to my damn song!"

There are suggestions In the episodes I've seen,
(but only suggestions) he's trying unbeknowst to
that Basarra's song is his cohorts to revive one
undermining their will of the "bad guys": Sivil.
  to fight:
                                              (Some notes on wikipedia
The second bananna indicate that the plot heads
henchmen complain that in the unsurprising direction
"their activity levels of an alliance with Sivil...)
    are declining".

    There's a blank, suddenly
    vulnerable expression on
    the face of the blonde
    host body that lord
    geplenitch (or whatever)
    occupies...

                                 Though on the other
                                 hand, we see it
                                 inspire Lieutanent
                                 K. the commander of

                                 suicidal devotion...
        A black character,
        by the way...
                                       So, maybe it's not
          GUNGA_DIN_SYNDROME all hippy-trippy
                                       rock for peace.

                                                 After all, the
                                                 band calls
                                                 themselves
                                                 "Fire Bomber".

                                                    But maybe they have
                                                    a different kind of
                                                    "fire" in mind.
