approaches to thinking about

Here's a wonky idea:
If there are general characteristics        (I saw someone call try to
of replicators, general principles          call some ideas like this
that apply to ecologies, economies,         "Bionomics", but the claim
systems of ideas... then how about          that this is a new field
crystal growth?                             strikes me as a bit
                                            self-aggrandizing...)
