Every form of genre fiction, by definition,
relies heavily on recycling different standard
elements.
It may be my imagination--
but I suspect that the anime/manga/jpop
world takes this much farther than OTAKU_BASE
anything else I've encountered.
It is, after all, one of the things that's
interesting about finding your way around
a new genre: all of the standard furniture
seems new to you.
