A difficultly I often
have of late:

Even if Chomsky is entirely correct,
isn't it possible it would be bad
for the American people to realize it?

   They might just go:

   "All right already,
    let's just be an
    empire." ("... and where did
                             we put those nukes?")

          I really dislike this thought,
and I've *always* disliked it. It's the Big Lie
                                               theory of religion.
But I keep coming back to
it in different forms... "Okay, so Christianity
                                               may be bullshit, it's
              UGLYBEAUTY still important for
                                               keeping the little
                                               people in line."

In fact that might count as
                                                   another example of a widely
                                                   held but rarely voiced
                                                   thought that deserves an
                                                   explicit counter-argument.
                               UNSPOKEN
                                                       Some argue with
                                                       men of straw, I
                                                       prefer the
                                                       invisble man.
