Tom Heasley will be bringing the Day of Noise to a close. Just calling this work "solo tuba" would be a gross disservice to both Tom and the listener: Tom Heasley's mastery of extended polyphonic techniques literally transforms the tuba into a new instrument, often taking it into industrial drone territory. This year he will also be using a lexicon processor for further transformation. Not to be missed.
One of his more recent appearences on recordings was with Eugene Chadbourne on the excellent 'Insect Attracter' CD on the Leo Records label. He's also recorded with with the also excellent Pauline Oliveros and the Deep Listening Band.
