The Machinery of Doom

The Machinery of Doom Former KZSU DJ and event organizer The Voice of Doom (aka myself) reserves the fabulous perk of filling the time slot that no one else wants.

Should you happen to be listening during this segment, you'll hear some home-built sound sculptures and instruments (e.g. using hardware store springs); some found object percussion; wind chimes of various sorts; a gurgling water pump; kids toys and some chintzy "ethnic" instruments; and some reading of random texts in a deep, whispery, incomprehensible voice. The odds are good that this stuff will all be played into a simple echo loop.

The Machinery of Doom has also appeared at the Berkeley Music Circus and Burning Man, which I guess makes me a definite insider in the outsider art scene.
