| We had some much needed rain of late, with storm warnings bad enough for me to take the day off of work. They weren't quite bad enough to keep me from taking a look at the scene in SF, where there was a blackout in Chinatown and Union Square. |

| In the final weeks of the year, we did a bike ride up into the Oakland hill neighborhoods, and discovered this micro-park (two benches, including the one where the camera is). |

| We supplied our old place with a Christmas Tree by the simple expedient of grinching one over from Shella's the moment she left town for Italy. |
