Christmas 2009

December 27, 2009
On the day of a small Christmas gathering at our place, I happened to notice a sale on trees in the neighborhod, and decided we might as well go all the way. This did not leave a lot of time to work on the decorations...

On the day of Christmas itself, our first stop was the Zombie Film Festival at the Pirate Cat Cafe, where I discovered that Raven had never seen The Night of the Living Dead. I went for an Eggnog Laté and was a bit happier than Raven who couldn't resist the idea of a Bacon Maple Laté.

Then it was off to the main event, a visit to the beach. In this case, Mile Rock Beach, up in the Lands End area, way down below the Legion of Honor.

The other main event, roast crab at a Vietnamese place far out on Clement Street.

Raven was obsessed with this crazed asian desert place we spotted, and so we had to force ourselves (the waffles and chocolate sauce was okay, the strawberry-rose ice cream baked into a marshmellow coating was... odd).

And then it was back home, where our loaner cat, Dali keeps us company.
