With an IDE cd writer, no OS can walk fast and write a good cd at the same time. === Subject: Re: Opinion wanted on CD-R drive From: Jan Carlson <janc@iname.com> Date: Mon, 17 May 1999 13:32:40 -0400 "Michael J. Any suggestions? Thanks. The SCSI CD readers and writers are far superior to the IDE ones, and they are often the same price. What you save by getting an IDE drive you will spend may times over in wasted CD blanks, wasted time and hair replacement. With IDE drives, you cannot safely do ANYTHING else on your computer during a burn. With my SCSI reader and writer, I can compile a new kernel while browsing the web while other things run in the background and the CD writes. === Subject: Re: burning a cd From: romain@icp.siemens.com (Romain Kang) Date: Fri, 19 Nov 1999 12:55:57 -0800 (PST) " Is there a software that can do CD-TEXT?
