And will allow multiple shells. But there's one feature in it i think of as a bug: if that shell is the only window, and you "exit" from the shell (by typing "exit"), all your keys freeze.. (you can't even kill the buffer to resume to regular emacs) Chris Lee <clee@innocent.com> writes: > Hi, > I know that I can use M-x shell to open a shell in emacs. (I'm not sure this is documented anywhere) Robert -- The above are my opinions, and my opinions only. So, to kill your terminal, you want to use C-c C-x k, to switch to another buffer: C-c C-x b; to kill other windows C-c C-x 1, etc. Now, WHY this is so, I don't know. -- Lorint HENDSCHEL Path: nntp.stanford.edu!newsfeed.stanford.edu!news.tele.dk!195.27.83.146!news-FFM2.ecrc.net!news.cesnet.cz!news.cuni.cz!not-for-mail From: Petr Pajas <pajas@ufal.ms.mff.cuni.cz> Newsgroups: comp.emacs Subject: Re: Open more than 1 shell in emacs Date: 20 Feb 2001 17:15:32 +0100 Organization: Charles University Prague Lines: 15 ===
