Let me guess... You're running enlightenment?

There is an amusing little bug in e-conf. If you toggle any one of
a number of attributes and don't go anywhere near "edge flip resistance"
(which is what you're running into) it gets turned on with whatever default
value was left.

Go into the e configuration editor under "Desktops" and disable
"Edge flip resistance" and apply it. You should be good to go. If you
have to go back into e-conf for any reason and change parameters, go back
to Desktops, re-enable "Edge flip resistance" and then disable it once again.
If you just leave it alone, it will re-enable itself, even though it says
it's disabled. If you go back into e-conf later, you find it's magically
re-enabled. This was reported up on the e discussion list a little while ago.

Then again... Maybe this is not your problem. It was for me! :-)

First, eliminate the obvious: Is you're virtual desktop larger than
your screen resolution (ie: if you move the mouse to the bottom of the
screen, does it scroll)?

If that's not it then run xvidtune to adjust the screen size to fit,
then hit the "show" key, then paste that into the proper place in
/etc/X11/XF86Config (ie: e-mail me when you get stuck).
