Subject: glibc-2.1.3 upgrade breaks threaded java apps

I just did the security upgrade to glibc 2.1.3 and all my threaded java apps are cratering with thread related exceptions or going into loops and sucking up 98% of the cpu. These include Bluej, ArgoUML, and TogetherJ Whiteboard edition.

This is double plus ungood, and I may have to downgrade back to the previous glibc libraries, if I can find them.

Any other reports or observations welcome, especially from RH support.

Same here. I was wondering why moneydance (with IBM's jre 1.1.8)
stopped working. I downgraded glibc and things are working fine again. I
use autorpm, so I added "^glibc-" to my Regex_Ignore variable, until all
this gets worked out (ah the benfits of automagic updating ;-) ).
