Subject: [RHEA-2000:103-04] Kerberos 5 packages available for Red Hat Linux 6.x
From: bugzilla@redhat.com

Red Hat, Inc. Product Enhancement Advisory

Synopsis: Kerberos 5 packages available for Red Hat Linux 6.x
Advisory ID: RHEA-2000:103-04
Issue date: 2000-11-03
Updated on: 2000-11-10
Product: Red Hat Linux
Keywords: kerberos strong cryptography
Cross references: N/A
---------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Topic:

Kerberos 5 packages are now available for Red Hat Linux 6.x.

2. Relevant releases/architectures:

Red Hat Linux 6.0 - i386, alpha, sparc
Red Hat Linux 6.1 - i386, alpha, sparc
Red Hat Linux 6.2 - i386, alpha, sparc
Red Hat Linux 6.2EE - i386, alpha, sparc

3. Problem description:

Kerberos 5, which was first officially shipped with Red Hat Linux 6.2, has
been built and tested on Red Hat Linux 6.0 and 6.1. These packages
are being made available so that developers may make use of the encryption
algorithms and protocols they provide.

You will need the krb5-libs package to support Kerberos functionality in
future packages. To build programs that need this functionality, you will
need the krb5-devel subpackage.

4. Solution:

For each RPM for your particular architecture, run:

rpm -Fvh [filename]

where filename is the name of the RPM.

5. Bug IDs fixed (http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla for more info):

N/A
