Subject: Re: does any particular linux work better? From: Matthew Barnson <mbarnson@excitehome.net> Date: Mon, 31 Jul 2000 09:31:45 -0600 I personally strongly recommend a "development" or "server" install of Linux-Mandrake 7.1. It includes all but two of the required Perl modules, and a very fully-featured default Apache install. I think you have to upgrade MySQL to make it work perfectly though. A couple caveats if you use Mandrake: Mandrake uses "postfix", not "sendmail", to send mail. It is compatible with sendmail though. Mandrake's default sendmail polling interval for deferred delivery mail is one hour. This is quickly changed, but waiting 45-60 minutes for a bug email to arrive can be a pain; I highly recommend removing the "-Odeliverymode=deferred" from all instances in processmail.pl ===
