Move your domains to Domain Discover (or almost any other com/org/net
registrar), and they'll even give you credit for the remaining months of
your current registrations.

I've had it with Network Solutions. Long ago, in fact. And _boy_ did
it feel good to leave.

I agree with rick... i use register.com and opensrs (for my lug's
domains). Register.com is great and is a NSI affiliate. They offer a nice
web interface for changing things, and for registering new domains...
Opensrs is good if you're registering lots of domains because they give you
a discount. I believe VA uses them. NSI make things more difficult.
Standard (NSI) doesnt isnt always synonymous with best.

That's mighty white of them. Since they're required to do that. If you pay
for 5 years @ NSI, and move to OpenSRS, your domain is still registered for
five years (although after you pay the mandatory 1-year-fee incumbent with
a registrar change, it'll be valid for then 6 years).

If a registrar DOESN'T "keep your paid-for time", then don't go there,
they're violating ICANN policy.[1].

D

[1] And it is important to note for the observers, that, in fact, NSI
violates the policy there. If you have $X years left on your domain @
$SOME_OTHER_REGISTRAR, and move it to NSI, after paying the
1-year-xfer-fee, you will have "1 year remaining" on your domain. This was
discussed on the OpenSRS resellers list some time back.

Heh. Didn't know that. Thanks.

Why am I now surprised?
