Just an OT sort of opinion:

the telnet client that comes with Windows 2000 is much nicer than the old.
putty still beats it though...

Don't use the NT Telnet client -- it's hideous. PuTTY works really well,
does ssh and everything, but you can also try the HyperTerminal telnet
client. Seem to remember it can do the key mappings.
