.... The daemon called "powerd" should suffice, and take note of the
line in your /etc/inittab file, have fun with it, I did. Especially when
I thought things were setup "perfect" and the wife turned on the
hairdryer in the other room the lights flickered just a little bit, and
my main IP Masq/Apache box rebooted, with no warning. (hehehe)

I'm laughing now, I wasn't then though. Still playing with it. It (APC)
had four jumpers that you can set for when it's to beep, 103v, 98v, or
,..... I forget, it's a combination of jumpering a combo of three
jumpers, with one to disable the beep .

You will have a file called /etc/powerd.conf that will have you state
the com port being used etc. It has good comments in it and of course it
"pops" a manpage for you when you install. I used the powerd*.rpm with
no issues.

One thing I forgot till my co-worker Ben Spade reminded me of, remember
to have your hub on the backup if you want it to send any signals to
shut down other machines on the network like I am doing here at home, I
didn't think of that one !!!.. Thanks Ben :)
