Subject: No archives From: Ramon Gandia <rfg@nook.net> Date: Tue, 29 Jun 1999 01:25:04 +0000 I see that according to Steve Coile, RedHat is no longer in the business of archiving this list, nor are they putting up or fixing their searchable archives. This is very bad, and it means that most of us on this list are wasting our efforts and have no expectation that things will someday get fixed. Obviously RedHat is more interested in playing with IBM, Compaq, Dell, Intel and their IPO than in supporting the user community that provided the grass roots support enabling RedHat to become a success. For a few weeks now I have been on the verge of unsubscribing. I will probably wait a hew hours, but I think will pull the plug. === Subject: Re: Please stick around, Ramon From: Jan Carlson <janc@iname.com> Date: Tue, 29 Jun 1999 15:32:02 -0400 Dear Ramon, I would like to thank you for all your hard work answering so many questions for so long, at all levels from newbie to expert. It has been invaluable to me and I think everyone else. We will miss your insight and your humor if you go. We'd rather you stay and lead us in the fight for the changes you would like to see. ===
