Get the lpr package from updates or rawhide. I recommend the latter.

Hello  :-)
tried your suggestion, can recognise printer and even send data to it,
but still cannot print normally!
What gives,?
Is this an lpd problem or a hardware problem?
P.S. My Epson stylus color 440 worked fine under RH 6.0

Ok, let's see if this is related to the modules...
Do:

insmod parport
insmod parport_pc
insmod parport_probe
echo "Microsoft sucks" >/dev/lp0

and let me know if that fixed it.

Did you restart lpd? (/etc/rc.d/init.d/lpd restart)
