Nope. In fact, X isn't even touching her video card: it's crashing before it gets there. You've got an X misconfiguration. Your best bet is to change to run-level three (using "telinit 3"), then start X manually (using "startx") so that you can easily see what the error message is. Then you can address the problem. ===
