Rvplayer has the same problems that StarOffice has: it's incompatible with glibc 2.1 because it takes advantage of bugs in older glibcs that are no longer present. As with StarOffice, I suggest you contact Real Networks and ask them whether/when they intend to fix rvplayer for RHL 6.0. I believe we're working with them to get it fixed, but that relationship is through our Business Development group, not through Engineering, so it's not quite as easy for me to get an update. =) Yes, we were aware that rvplayer wouldn't work with 6.0 before (apparently WELL before) 6.0 was released. Real Network's Linux support has apparently been spotty in the past and has proven frustrating to those here that have worked with them to correct the problems. But it now seems that they're finally committing to Linux, so we'll hopefully see some more consistent support. Have you tried installing the glibc 2.0 compatibility packages included with RHL 6.0? Look for *-compat-* in i386/RedHat/RPMS on your CD-ROM. ======
