Rvplayer has the same problems that StarOffice has: it's incompatible
with glibc 2.1 because it takes advantage of bugs in older glibcs that
are no longer present.

As with StarOffice, I suggest you contact Real Networks and ask them
whether/when they intend to fix rvplayer for RHL 6.0. I believe we're
working with them to get it fixed, but that relationship is through our
Business Development group, not through Engineering, so it's not quite
as easy for me to get an update. =)

Yes, we were aware that rvplayer wouldn't work with 6.0 before
(apparently WELL before) 6.0 was released. Real Network's Linux support
has apparently been spotty in the past and has proven frustrating to
those here that have worked with them to correct the problems. But it
now seems that they're finally committing to Linux, so we'll hopefully
see some more consistent support.

Have you tried installing the glibc 2.0 compatibility packages included
with RHL 6.0? Look for *-compat-* in i386/RedHat/RPMS on your CD-ROM.
