Just to keep you up to date on this version, I have found out why
the cdrom drives didn't work. The boot loader doesn't load the modules
cdrom and ide-cd. I am loading them in rc.local now with modprobe.

Tried to load postgSQL but there are some library files missing.
This morning I tried to load the rpm from version 7.2 for GNUCash a
wonderful money program and it will not load because a long list of
library items are missing.

I'm smart enough to find these items in this version 7.1, check to
see if they are there in 7.2 and if not find them on the cdrom(s) and load
them. But it takes a lot of TIME!

The bottom line of all this is that RED HAT GOOFED AGAIN! It is
simple loader errors and boot bash files but a new Linux user will go nuts
trying to get this version loaded!

You know, you just had me thinking about this and I actually have to
"THANK" redhat for all their goof ups since I started with
RedHat-4.2 for it's the core of my troubleshooting education. It's
seems you have come out ahead on this also, congradulations. :)
