The only thing I can't do with it is switch resolutions under X, since the keyboard has no numeric keypad to complete the Ctrl+Alt+KP_Plus keystroke. Is there any way short of editing the source to change the key sequences, or are there any simple X or command-line based X resolution switchers? --9amGYk9869ThD9tj Content-Type: application/pgp-signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.4 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE6YAC2dtqQf66JWJkRAnblAJ9QaU4lw5j4zue1H91RsuYNOIpFkACgx2kZ CWaL8g3ia0ECOPYYoxP6fXg= =wouN -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --9amGYk9869ThD9tj-- === Date: Fri, 12 Jan 2001 23:49:27 -0800 From: Joey Hess <joey@kitenet.net> To: Aaron Lehmann <aaronl@vitelus.com> Cc: svlug@svlug.org Subject: Re: [svlug] X res switching for the numeric-keypad impaired. I smell a dock app.. I'll bet xmodmap can be used to rebind the normal + and - keys so X thinks they are the keypad + and - keys. This wouldn't change their behavior, but they would be able to switch modes. === Date: Sat, 13 Jan 2001 00:13:12 -0800 From: Karen Shaeffer <shaeffer@best.com> To: Ivan Passos <lists@cyclades.com> Cc: svlug@svlug.org Subject: Re: [svlug] Kickstart woes On Fri, Jan 12, 2001 at 10:56:00AM -0800, Ivan Passos wrote: > Now going thru a little different stream: what if you're trying to > build an installation farm (i.e. PC's with the same initial installation > that will be sold / sent to different customers)?? Actually the PXE + DHCP solution can be used in conjunction with Kickstart or any other network distribution install system. But it could also be used to set up burnin utilities, direct disk replication utilities, customized build to order distribution installers, or any other utility you might write. ===
