Chap 1

BARAKA

pegasus    get on your high horse,  head for the nebula and dream of a crotch of equine proportions - "and to your dakini girlfriends, you shall be as a rod."   It's raining in New York.   A time tornado winds the raining space into a veil,  wind is whipping it making a drum sound.  Mounting her ass, she follows me.

gold_guy    I'm waving my hat like Slim Pickens riding that thermonclear device as we approach Manhattan using the shuddering of the N train.  All of us flying end over end at about 100 ft.

Ghost of where the parachute tram lands meets the U.N.  From throughout Tramlands to the Ghost of Columbus.  "For First Class use BARDOPASS"    I'm spent.  Her ass is spent but it's always a great ride.  Don't need no taxi while you're still off the ground though and we head to the West.

Chap 2

Be forwarned.  Fifth Avenue is my forearm, my firearm, my fur farm, my far flung tortuga.

Humid, floating rain,  heat.  I check my watch.   Must get to the center of all these Dials before this time dilation ends!  Looking like a Shangri La, she hustles me along.

I had to ask her.  How old were you when you recorded "Wishing Well"?  Fourteen, fifteen?

How in the world did you discover you could sing like that?  Pierce the fabric of time?

"Your eternity was in the air.  It came to me in a nanosecond!  It's why we're here now, silly!"

Now she's Anna Karina from Alphaville.     Mind the giant security guards.  They're hard to see!

fatty

They're a great threat and they can really ruin your evening!   She guided me around Alphaville safely.  O, we had fun!   But it didn't become a "date" until I pinned her with the black velvet pin of space, like a butterfly in a case of euclidean light.    Danger.

Chap 3

Are these megaliths the Outer Limits of Alphaville?

her Is it going to be just shopping and more shopping?  I thought that "fun" was the one thing that money can't buy.

lighter   "But look!" she said.  "Another time window!  Your band must be playing on that roof!  Looks like your worries are over.  We can play our way over to the Tower.
So we went over to the party.  No one was there at the source.  Seems like our only audience was far far away deep in the layers of darkening light, like denizens of a deep sea.  the only part of our sound they could hear was like the music ran 500 feet down a garden hose into a public lavatory - and they were listening outside of the door - this is the night life of New York.  Nevertheless - this sound held the gate of time open "at will", for untold hours, eons and even now.  For the city's sake?  Nah.  For her and me.

and from the top of the Tower at Times Square

and left the world more alive than we found it.  And no one knew but it didn't matter.
