  The doctrine of
  competitive advantage
  among countries is
  fine, but you need to
  ask "competitive
  advantage in *what*?

  The absence of pollution controls?
  The lack of labor laws?
  A captive labor force?

       It's now impossible
       to buy a pair of
       running shoes not
       manufactured in a
       dictatorship.  Is      Well okay,
       that a coincidence?    "oligarchy",
                              perhaps.
       What is it about
       dictatorships that
       give them a
       "competitive
       advantage" in the
       labor market?
