CAPITALISMS

   One thing one might call "capitalism":


   o  state corporate capitalism-- which
      in some versions at least, gets         When the political process is
      called fascism.                         thoroughly corrupted by
                                              commercial interests, and
                                              commercial interests advance
                                              based on government favors

   Another capitalism:

   o  Private ownership, with a medium of
      exchange like cash. where one trades
      for goods and services on a market,
      where various legal hacks ("regulation")
      are in place to restrain more egregious
      abuses.


   Still another:

   o  Markets without any constraint on
      accumulation, where runaway conditions
      exist with the accumulation of wealth
      among a small segment of society.



   When the marxanians start
   complaining about "capitalism",
   and a need for "alternatives to
   capitalism", I literally don't
   know what they're talking about.

   But then, I don't really want
   to ask, either.
