July 5, 2002 I saw Delany give a talk at the Urban Center in New York, about the material in his book _Times Square Red, Times Square Blue_. He has a theory these days about social interaction: we place too much faith in "networking", and BONDED_TIGHTLY ignore the value of random, serendipitous "contact".
