LEAR

                                              February 8, 2007

I have what appears to an unusual reaction
to the well-regarded Shakespere play "King
Lear": it strikes me as a terrible joke, a
parody of a Shakesperian tragedy.

Lear's "tragic flaw" seems to be a
horrendous case of stupidity, getting It's difficult to believe
bent out of shape over some very minor that any one could be that
remarks from one of his daughters. out of touch with reality,
                                             supreme ruler or no.
The ending of the play is
tragic, all right, in that But then, there is
*every* *single* *character* the case of Bush
dies. Junior:

  Like I said: PSYCHO_REGIME
  something of (The Fool *does*
  a parody. have some nice
                          lines, though.)

But then, many people I respect TOADKEEPER
have some respect for this play,
and far be it from me to accuse
them all of being the dupes of The Toadkeeper on
a con just because I don't get it. _King Lear_: "an
                                                  implacable machine".
