  The toadkeeper had
a rule of thumb about TOADKEEPER
  "realism" in adventure
  fiction: he preferred
  stories where the heroes
  were willing to kill.

  That means that they're
"serious", about it. There's a bit in the
                               first Indiana Jones movie
                               that he liked, where Jones
By this standard, has a bullet wound in his
"The Saint" novels arm, and the bad guy
are Serious Fiction. repeatedly punches him
                               in the wound.

                                  That was another
                                  example of Being
                                  Serious.
