The SFMOMA museum recruited RM of BTS to do an exhibition
of some selected works from his own collection of art.

He recorded two different audio tours of the collection,
one in English, the other in Korea. These aren't translations
of one into the other, but two independent versions.

This is a translation from the Korean version, by
"HYBE BOY" at youtube. RM is talking about two https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07WGKUT3eyc
paintings side-by-side in a section called "Home",
where I think RM is sounding like someone looking to
do work with more social significance:

    "Son Sangki"

"It's an irony he painted, his own painting, hanging in a rich
person's house, clearly a nice home with European furniture. This
work hung in my living room, and I would feel a prick of conscience
looking at it, whenever I thought, 'Am I becoming just some
ordinary, boring, dull, sheltered, rich kid?' I think of it as a
work that reminds me, I'm a creator too, ... that always reminds me
yes, I got these things as a reward for working hard and being
lucky, but it reminds me how I should use them, and what I should be
    making from now on.

    "Philip Guston"

"Originally he did abstract expresionism like Rothko Then after the
vietnam war, he suddenly went back to a very cartoonish figuration,
and he got a huge amount of criticism for it ... critics said he was
doing some kind of joke ... but I think about that kind of result,
to abandon the world he had boomed in, and be reborn.

He once said something like, 'outisde the vietnam war is going on,
and I don't know what I'm doing, waking up in the morning to go paint
red over blue.' So he abandoned his own world and started taking in
    the social--

"And I wonder could I ever decide to leave behind the world that I
was a part of? Something like that, keeps me on edge."

Thought in the English version, RM sounds a little more like a
guy looking for a good charity to donate to:

"His existence and his paintings are like alerts to me. Like, are
you living really? Don't you think you are really getting used to
these kind of lives and just wasting your resources? So you must use
your money in a good way. I don't know what's a good way, but I'm
    still figuring it out."
