"You Can See Everything" (2026)
There's an A24 movie coming out next month-- it
premiered at Telluride, so there's critics already
falling over themselves to talk about how
wonderful it is-- it's about Elizabeth Holmes, the
founder of "Theranos" the bio-tech startup that Theranos? Wasn't that
turned out to be a fraudulent scam, and so she is an Avengers villain?
currently serving a sentence under house arrest.
The documentary evidently portrays Elizabeth Holmes
as completely dellusional-- she's the style of liar
that believes her own lies.
The critics are all raving about how mind-bendy it is
to try to get inside her head--
I have absolutely zero interest in any of this.
You're going to give a known con-artist another shot at you?
Don't trust a pickpocket with your wallet, and
don't give a con-artist hours of your time.
The question about "Theranos" isn't whether
the founder is a crazy or a liar-- there's
always plenty of both.
The real question has to do with the people who let
themselves be conned-- did they learn anything from
this? Will they let themselves be played again?
I have an idea, write down your answer now,
and get back to me again after the AI bubble pops.

Why are people so fascinated by this movie?
"Oh, how can it be that we were fooled?!"
You were fooled because you're an idiot,
because we're all idiots but some of us are
aware of it and try to watch out for the
problem. You're evidently not, so you're
going to go listen to a con-artist again.
