   There's a genre on the scene
   in Japan that we American                     ameriotakuo ?
   Otaku don't know much about:
   "the drama CD".

      I became aware of it in reading the
      marginal notes for the Ouran manga,
      where Bisco Hatori gushes about
      meeting an actress from the Drama CD.

      I infer that this is much like the
      nearly forgotten "radio drama",
      which has all but disappeared
      from the american scene.

          A related genre, though:
          "books on tape" readings.

          And then, there's librivox.
