I make an effort to
avoid car metaphors,
but I often find that
bicycle metaphors seem CHAIN_LUBE
awkward and forced.
I do a lot of card game
metaphors, which is
interesting because I ("With you, it's
don't play card games. never an empty hand,
but never a full FOUR_HEARTS
deck, either.")
Maybe the right answer is
to do more sex metaphors.
Everyone likes sex metaphors. E.g. Bruce Sterling's rap: vendor
lock-in strategies considered as
relationship head-games, where
linux enters the story as this
weird hippie-chick that really
likes doing geeky guys.
(maybe strip poker?)
Open source software:
it's like free love,
without the veneral
disease.
(It's the closed
source people who
keep getting eaten
by viruses.)
