The Voice of Doom

This is the playlist for a substitution pickup show broadcast on KZSU on July 25th, 2001 at 6pm. In theory I was taking Gabe's place... in reality we know that this is not actually possible.

preamble

Very little prep got done for this one, except for some database searches for things that might fit my theme set: "The Deflation of Space". Plenty of technical errors and awkward seques were had by all, most of them covered up with judicious application of doom sludge: droney industrial sounds and the good old 3.5 second echo delay loop.

sound bed

The background sounds for this show were usually the Zoviet France album "A Flock of Rotations", often with some of Danielle DeGruttola's CD "Oaktown Dreams": the dark, murky track "Earthworms".

off of ?
side B
7" 45 RPM
This is a 7" probably from the early 60s, a Japanese release, with very little text on it that I can read.

45 RPM (or so I believe)

off of The Y Records Years
Disk I, Track 1
mixed with the above
