  It often seems to me that no one
  really cares about the latest
  thing, they just care about being
  up on the latest.

     With digital cameras, for a time,
     there was a competition for who
     can do the most megapixels.  That
     might've made you think that people
     really care really care about image
     quality.

     Then they all abruptly switched to
     lousy cellphone cameras which were
     both light on megapixels and worse,
     had nothing like real lenses.

     So clearly, people care about
     convienience more than image quality.
        
     Or maybe: people really care
