A few years back, AOC was making some headlines
with her question for Mark Zuckerberg:
"So you won't take down lies?"

Here, AOC is suggesting that it's Facebook's job
to do this.  Were I in the big Z's place, I would
be tempted to respond:

   As a member of Congress, you could create a new
   federal department that would determine The
   Truth and ban particular messages as lies, but
   you're not going to that, right?  You're asking
   us to do this for you because it's blatantly
   unconstitutional for you to do it.

You might wonder if AOC is trying to pressure
Facebook to volunteer to do this "voluntarily"
in order to avoid congressional heat in the future...


The idea here might be that Facebook
has become so large it's no longer a    One of the now endless ironies
simple business and must now "behave    in the modern world: I've seen
responsibly"... but do you really       conservatives whining about
want Facebook to act as "the Ministry   how the big tech companies
of Truth" by proxy?                     have gotten too big.  Twitter
